Peter White is a professional violin maker living in San Antonio Texas. He had made over 260 fine violins, violas and cellos in his fifty year career.
He studied in America and Poland under Jan Pawlikowski in Krakow and Rajmund Swirek in Katowice Poland. In 2010 he won a gold medal in Cremona Italy for his copy of Andrea Amati’s 1560 violin called Il Portuguese. He is the former owner of Old World Violins in Albuquerque New Mexico, a shop that sponsored the Violin Society Convention and Competition in 1990. He has won numerous gold medals and certificates for his work in American competitions.
